General note
John M. Reinhart began his career in automotive design at Packard Motor Car Company where he rose to be Chief Stylist from 1947-1951 and was responsible for the design of the 1951 Packard Daytona Panther. Reinhart worked in Ford Motor Company's styling studios from 1951 to 1957 when he left to work for U.S. Steel. Reinhart returned to Ford in 1968 and worked in the Safety Design and Special Vehicles Office until his retirement in 1973.
