General note

Developments at Art Center, November 1983: Nestle Officials Receive Student Graphics Jean Volckaert, Manager of Marketing-Packaging Services at Nestle, praised the research, creativity and professionalism of graphic symbols completed recently as an educational project for the company and presented by President Don Kubly during a November visit to Vevey, Switzerland, where Nestle is headquartered. The company had asked students to create a symbol for "coffeeness", according to Communications Design co-chairman Paul Hauge, who handpicked a designer team of six graphics/packaging design majors to complete the assignment. Enthusiastic Nestle Design executives responded to the students' work with written critiques and also made a donation of $5,000 to the college.
