General note

Developments at Art Center, October 1977: Chrysler Sets Latest Assignment for Transportation Students Chrysler Corporation's Design Office, headed by Vice President Richard G. Macadam, is once again involved in a challenging term project for Art Center's senior transportation design students. This assignment focuses on the use of electronics technology in interior space and instrument panel design for a 1985 luxury compact vehicle. Elements of each student's design solutions will include digital readout graphics for simplicity and clarity, and the replacement of bulky mechanical functions with push-button applications for improved operational safety, comfort and efficiency. Chrysler's Robert Janosko, interior studio design manager, and Robert Brown, studio design engineer, presented the project and are conducting mid-term evaluations. Richard Macadam will conduct the final critique.

General note

Developments at Art Center, January 1978: Automotive Project Completed, Important Designers Welcomed On the day prior to the graduation ceremonies, Richard Macadam with Chrysler designer Bob Janosko, conducted the final critique of the automotive interiors design term project proposed by Chrysler. Twenty-one upper division students participated and Macadam was extremely complimentary of the innovative content and professional presentation of the students' design solutions.
