General note

Audi sponsored project: Over the past few decades, the majority of sales and profits for Audi have come from sedan models and a few closely related variants such as Avants and Cabriolets. As more and more new vehicle types are introduced and the US market becomes increasingly fragmented, more niche-oriented and more dominated by crossover vehicles, what is the best model line strategy for a luxury manufacturer like Audi? How should this new model strategy be communicated to the market? Transportation Design and Advertising students will be asked to develop their ideas for new models or revised models that will fit into the Audi Franchise for the model year 2010. Students will collaborate to research future market conditions and develop concept directions, and eventually develop digital models and communication strategies for these new concepts. (with Advertising)
