Honda sponsored project: Highway to Halo For Honda's summer term Funded Educational Project (FEP), Transportation Design students created a futuristic halo S2000 sports car utilizing Honda's racing heritage, identity, and philosophy. While students were able to determine the typical consumer's occupation, lifestyle and life stage scenarios, the vehicle's target market was defined as a male buyer of any age demographic in the year 2012. Avenues of research included studies into economically viable manufacturing techniques for a vehicle of this type, which appealed to a special interest, niche-market with high expectations of quality. Following Honda's conceptual design philosophy, students also conducted market research, bench-marking, and package development, and ultimately created a 3D model.
