According to the 2009 booklet, the department was established in 2000, as the Media Design Program. In 201x the program became "Media Design Practices."

Scope and content

The Graduate Media Design collection consists mainly of files and books related to class projects and special events, and brochures about the department. Of special note are the project books for "Tweens: Technology, Personal Agency, and Engagement." This project was part of their Super Studio and co-sponsored by Hewlett Packard.
