        History

        Art Center began offering public programs in 1931, with its Evening Division (now called Art Center at Night). The department expanded over the years to encompass programs for K-12 students, educators, and the general public. Programs include: Art Center at Night, Art Center for Kids (established 2001), Art Center for Teens (established circa 1965, and as "Saturday High" in 1981. The name changed to Art Center for Teens in 2016), Design-Based Lab (2004), Summer Institute for Teachers (established 2002).
