Per George Jergenson (SPEC 11, Scrapbook 4, pg. 40): Jergenson was in Detroit to judge entries for the Motor Trend Design Competition. He spread the drawings on tables in a hotel suite. Pininfarina was in Detroit and Jergenson asked if he would be honorary judge and he accepted. These photos show him studying the portfolios.
