Biographical history

Virginia Iden (PHOT 1942) was born in Ohio on March 22, 1912 and had already earned a degree from the University of Arizona (1934) when she came to the Art Center School. After graduating, she married classmate Duard Ferguson and they opened a portrait gallery at the corner of 1st and Vermont in Los Angeles. She died on August 08, 2002 in Arizona.

The Virginia Iden Ferguson papers are three letters from the Art Center School. A 1941 letter is to her parents requesting Virginia attend an additional year. A 1959 letter serves as her student record and lists the classes she took. Also included is a one-page "extra" to the alumni newsletter "Horizon Line."
