Biografie

Charlie McHose (TRAN 1961) was born on August 18, 1934 in New York City. He went to work for Ford Motor Co. immediately after graduation, first at Ford of England Styling and then the Detroit Special Vehicle Design Studio. In March 1966 he was put on the 1967 Shelby Mustang project. When it came time to make the full-scale clay model, he hired Joe Farrer, his modeling instructor at Art Center. He died in Bakersfield, California on January 31, 2021.

The Charles McHose papers are a photocopy of a typed manuscript created by McHose that pays tribute to Joe Farrer's clay modeling work on the 1967 Shelby Mustang. The manuscript was presented to his widow, Rosa Farrer, at the 2007 memorial for Joe at Art Center.
